Processes

Feeding & Digestion

Process where food goes through the digestive system. Food is broken down to a molecular level so that cells get the materials they need, then the rest is produced as waste.

Circulation

Excretion

This is the blood flow in mammals. It is mostly used to send oxygen to all parts of the body, including the heart. In the 4 chambers of the heart, oxygenated blood is separated from deoxygenated blood.

Excretion is the process of removing waste from the body. After undergoing digestion, excess materials are released through the intestines and into the environment.

Movement

Nervous

The adaptation of mammals' bodies for movement is vastly different from other classes. Mammals have joints that help rotate their limbs. Mammals bodies are meant for speed as well. bodies of mammals are meant for running, jumping, and climbing.

Separated into two systems that work together. The central nervous system includes fore brain, mid brain, and hind brain. Each part preforms a specific role.

Reproduction

All mammals undergo live birth, but there are a few exceptions. All mammals, however, do need two parents to reproduce sexually, which includes sperm and egg haploid cells.
