Sweat
In warmer climates mammals have adapted sweat glands. These glands help cool the animal and keep their body temperature consistent.
Insulating Layers
In colder climates mammals have adapted insulating layers. Their fur grows thick for warmth. They also develop a thick layer of fat called blubber. The layers help maintain body heat.
Hibernation
When the climate is cold animals have adapted to hibernate. Hibernation is where the mammal temporarily stops all action. This allows the mammal to conserve energy when food is scarce.
